Incredible for moms and guardians of tween girls! Loved how interactive and engaging it is while teaching an important message. And as a bonus shipping was fast so we didn’t have to wait long to get to the fun. My tween and I enjoyed it!
I got this book as a therapist to see if I could use it in my work with young girls, and after reading through it I just can’t wait to work alongside some girls who I know would benefit from this! Building awareness to the things we do daily is such an important life skill, and this journal does a fantastic job of helping young girls cultivate this skill through such an important topic like social media. I appreciate how the journaling prompts really are catered toward tweens. It’s not telling them to stop engaging in social media, as that would turn many teens away from something like this, but it encourages them to sharpen their independent thinking skills, which may result in a much more mindful approach to social media to last a lifetime. I’d recommend it for girls starting around age 11 or 12, and honestly anyone older who’s interested in this, adults included (who want to get in touch with their inner tween, and do some important reflections!)
I ordered my first Gurl Core kit and it came via USPS quickly. I can’t wait to share with my tween niece! The quality surpassed my expectations and you can tell the amount of heart that was poured into every detail.
